Primary Materials
The Primary Materials Collection contains statutes, regulations, law reports, digests and cases of Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and other common law jurisdictions including Africa, Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, etc.
 
Hong Kong primary materials are shelved in the front area for quick retrieval, including the Government Gazette, all editions of the Laws of Hong Kong dating back to the 1901 edition, law reports, digest, indexes and unreported judgments distributed by the superior courts and more. All primary materials are for library use only and cannot be checked out.

Chinese Law Collection 
The Chinese Law Collection covers legal materials of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, and other jurisdictions written in Chinese.

The major focus of this collection is on PRC law resources, which include official gazettes, collections of laws and regulations, administrative regulations, administrative rules, local regulations, judicial interpretations, cases, yearbooks, handbooks, manuals, legal newspapers, journals, as well as treatises and books.

United Nations Depository Collection
The University of Hong Kong Libraries has been designated as a United Nations Depository Libraries since April 2000 and received masthead documents, official records, selected sales publications and electronic resources of the United Nations from various duty stations (New York, Geneva, Vienna and Bangkok).

Pamphlets
Pamphlets are located at the end of the right section of the compact shelves. This collection includes booklets on various aspects of law and practice.
